Skyguide takes over air traffic services at Buochs Airfield

Geneva, March 30, 2006. Skyguide will assume responsibility for all air traffic services at Buochs Airfield on April 1. The airfield, which is located in Canton Nidwalden in Central Switzerland, becomes skyguide’s twelfth operating location.

 
The airfield’s air traffic services are currently provided by its operator, Airport-Buochs AG (ABAG), under skyguide’s supervision. Skyguide’s Buochs team will consist of three air traffic controllers. The airfield saw around 16 000 aircraft movements last year.
 
With the addition of Buochs, skyguide now operates at twelve Swiss locations: Alpnach, Bern, Buochs, Dübendorf, Emmen, Geneva, Locarno, Lugano, Meiringen, Payerne, Sion and Zurich.
