ENGLEWOOD, COLO., December 5, 2007 — Effective 17 January 2008, Jeppesen will provide direct-to-customer NavData and obstacle data updates for Chelton Flight Systems avionics. This new agreement with Chelton will allow easier, direct access to Jeppesen data, and provide customers the option of bundling services under one easy-to-manage account. Jeppesen data has always been used in Chelton avionics, but the updates were managed by Chelton rather than being provided directly by Jeppesen. To sign up for the new Jeppesen update services, users of Chelton avionics can call Jeppesen sales and service at (800) 621-5377 or email [email protected]. For the Chelton updates, customers simply use commercially available hardware—no Jeppesen hardware is provided for the update service. Once customers have an account established, and have downloaded an application known as Jeppesen Services Update Manager (JSUM), they will be ready to receive data updates every 28 days quickly and conveniently via the Internet.
For more than 70 years Jeppesen has made it possible for pilots and their passengers to safely and efficiently reach their destinations. Today this pioneering spirit continues as Jeppesen delivers essential information and optimization solutions to improve the efficiency of air, sea and rail operations around the globe. Jeppesen is a subsidiary of Boeing Commercial Aviation Services, a unit of Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
