Comp Air Aviation and its major suppliers have reached general agreements on components for flight test and initial production of the Comp Air 12, single engine turboprop aircraft. Please join Ron Lueck, President and CEO of Comp Air Aviation at a scheduled press conference on Wednesday, April 9th, 2008, at 10:00 am in the press room, at the Sun ‘n Fun show, www.sun-n-fun.org Lakeland, Florida. Ron will brief the press on the certification efforts of the Comp Air 12. General agreements are in place with Honeywell for the 1,650 SHP TPE331-14GR turboprop engine, and McCauley Propeller Systems for the latest 5-blade propeller, a 108", aluminum propeller optimized for both takeoff and cruising altitudes.
Ron commented, "When designing and building the best single engine turboprop, you need the best performing, highest value components. We are very pleased with our equipment selection and the support we are receiving from our major equipment suppliers."
Lueck noted: "Honeywell’s 1650 HP, TPE331-14GR is the most powerful and fuel efficient in its class; and they are providing strong program assistance and support." The Comp Air 12 will enter FAA certification as soon as final equipment standards and conforming aircraft specifications are completed.
Comp Air Aviation is working with potential investor groups and experienced engineering and production resource teams to execute the 36-month certification and production startup.
