Fly High in the 2007 Great Reno Balloon Race for Free

Amateur photographers have the chance to win big with 2006 race photographs.

(RENO, Nev.) The Great Reno Balloon Race is once again sponsoring the annual Balloon Race amateur photo contest. The photographer to best capture the essence of the race in his or her photo will be awarded a free family level balloon sponsorship at the 2007 Great Reno Balloon Race (an $800 value). 

Second and third-place winners will also be chosen.  In addition, the photo will be published in the official 2007 event program and possibly in other media, such as magazines and newspapers. Deadline for submissions is February 13, 2007. A sponsorship is the only way to fly in a balloon during the event. 

Entry for each photo is $10 and photos must be at least 5”x7”, but no larger than 8” x 11”. Photos must be color prints and taken during the 2006 Great Reno Balloon Race.  In addition, no digitally enhanced photos will be accepted.  There is no limit to the number of photos a person can enter into the contest.  The judges will gather to see the event through the eyes of amateur photographers in late April.  Photos can be submitted to the Great Reno Balloon Race at P.O. Box 12695, Reno, NV  89510 or call to arrange a drop-off time.
