Mark Booth to Be Honored With EBACE 2008 European Business Aviation Awards

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND, MAY 19, 2008 – The European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) and the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) today announced that Mr. Mark Booth, Chairman and CEO of NetJets Europe will be recognized with the EBACE2008 European Business Aviation Awards for his outstanding contributions to European business aviation. The award recipient will be honored for his achievement at this year’s European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE2008), the only major European event focused solely on business aviation, taking place in Geneva on May 19-22 2008

“I am delighted that this year’s EBACE award will be presented to someone who has played such a key role in the recent rapid growth of European business aviation, so evident at EBACE 2008”, said Eric Mandemaker CEO of EBAA, co-sponsor of the EBACE award.

“Coming from a diverse, but very successful career background, Mark Booth has certainly delivered everything he promised in Europe for NetJets and our sector. Indeed, Mark has been one of the strongest advocates of business aviation and has been able to articulate this in a style reminiscent of the way Charles Lindberg advocated transatlantic flying in the 30’s and beyond. As he comes to the end of his time with NetJets, this award is a fitting tribute to all he has achieved for them and our industry, which is now one of the fastest growing sectors in Europe.”

"Mark Booth has a demonstrated record of commitment to the business aviation community," said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. "It is an honor to recognize his dedication and invaluable contributions with the European Business Aviation Award."

Past recipients of the European Business Aviation Award include:

  • Mrs. Judith Moreton Bombardier Skyjet Int. and Mr. Mark Wilson (2007)
  • Geneva PALEXPO and Flight Safety International (2006)
  • TAG Aviation and Cannes/Mandelieu Airport (2005)
