From 12th to 16th December, four Mirage 2000s from Orange Air Base fighter squadron 1/5 "Vendée" will be deployed at Leuchars Air Base in Scotland.

The 12 pilots and 25 engineers shall train alongside their counterparts from 43rd Squadron. They will be flying Tornado F3s in tactical training missions.

The objective is to harmonize working procedures and improve the coordination of combined actions within a NATO scope.

Scotland also provides a training airfield to Reims Air Base reconnaissance squadron 1/33 " Belfort ", which executes landings and take-offs from Lossiemouth base in order to test its aircraft servicing from a foreign airfield.
