ST. LOUIS, Sept. 24, 2007 — Boeing employees in Wichita, Kan., pull a B-52H into a hangar to begin the Combat Network Communications Technology (CONECT) upgrade. The CONECT modification is a computing, communication and display network that will allow B-52H crews to receive and send real-time digital information during their missions. The first CONECT modification is expected to take 11 months. When full production begins, the entire B-52 fleet will receive the CONECT modification.
