Birmingham International is the UK’s fifth largest Airport, third largest for charter traffic and has the highest proportion of business traffic second only to London Heathrow. In 2004, it handled nearly nine million passengers through its two terminals and acts as the Midlands’ premier gateway to Europe, Scandinavia, North America, the Middle East and the Indian sub-continent.

BIA is one of the most accessible Airports in Europe. It lies at the centre of the UK’s motorway network enabling easy access to all major cities. It is also adjacent to Birmingham International Rail Station, and provides a 90 second, no hassle connection via the Air-Rail Link people mover system into the heart of each transport hub. Birmingham International Station links directly to the national rail network with hourly services to Central London, which is only 80 minutes away. |
