SR Technics and Vietnam Airlines Corporation have signed a technical services agreement for the engines powering the carrier’s ten aircraft Airbus A320 fleet. The contract covers the maintenance, repair and overhaul of twentyone CFM56-5B powerplants. SR Technics expects to handle approximately 15 total overhauls or “shop visits” of these engines at its Engine Service Center at Zurich in the course of the three-year agreement.
This successful agreement enables the company to raise its profile in the Asia-Pacific market and will help to secure further engine maintenance business for SR Technics.
Hanoi-based Vietnam Airlines has been Vietnam’s national carrier since 1956. The airline operates a 38 aircraft fleet and serves 15 domestic and 22 international destinations.
