Montreal, April 28, 2006 – (NYSE: CGT; TSX: CAE) – CAE recently presented a donation of C$423,000 to Centraide of Greater Montreal, concluding the 2005 CAE-Centraide Campaign. Of the total amount, C$323,000 was donated by employees and C$100,000 was contributed by the company. Approximately 48% of CAE employees participated in the 2005 CAE-Centraide Campaign, successfully surpassing the fundraising goal of C$380,000 by C$43,000.
CAE was presented with a Centraide of Greater Montreal’s Solidaires award at the organization’s annual distinction awards ceremony held on April 20, 2006. The award pays tribute to the leadership and social commitment of the volunteers and organizations which support Centraide of Greater Montreal during its annual fundraising campaign. CAE was recognized in the “Employee Campaign – 1,000+ employees” category for the quality of its workplace campaign. Campaign elements taken into consideration were the campaign committee, training of canvassers, person-to-person canvassing, promotion of payroll giving, growth in results, and invitation of a spokesperson from a Centraide-supported agency.
