Kaan Havacilik Orders Six AgustaWestland Helicopters

AgustaWestland is pleased to announce that Kaan Havacilik of Turkey has ordered six helicopters including one AW119 Ke single engine, one AW109 Power and three Grand light twin and one AW139 medium twin turbine helicopter. The purchase of these models confirms the remarkable growth trend of AgustaWestland sales in the Turkish helicopter market, bringing to over 20 units the number of helicopters purchased in the country.

The AW119 Ke is AgustaWestland’s answer to worldwide current customer demand for a high performance, modern, multi-role single-engine helicopter. The AW109 Power is a highly versatile twin engine helicopter that is used for commercial and public service missions and has exceptional levels of performance with low operating costs. A new intermediate size helicopter with light twin economics developed to meet a variety of market requirements, the Grand provides levels of cabin space and payload that until now could only be met by larger, more expensive helicopters. The AW139 is a new generation medium twin helicopter setting new standards against which all new medium twins are measured.

Kaan Havacilik, located in Istanbul, is an established provider of helicopter sales and services including executive air transport and air tours. Kaan Havacilik is also the distributor in Turkey for AgustaWestland‘s commercial helicopters and has already purchased AW119 Ke single engine as well as Grand and AW139 helicopters. The rapid and noteworthy result achieved by AgustaWestland in Turkey leads Kaan Havacilik to exceed the originally estimated purchase needs and to foresee a constant growth in the next few years.
