American Eurocopter Delivers EC120 to Owner of Midwest Medical Transport Company: Unique paint scheme shows team spirit

Grand Prairie, TX — American Eurocopter today announced that it has delivered an EC120 to Kim and Jill Wolfe, owners of Midwest Medical Transport Company, an EMS transport company serving all of Nebraska and western Iowa. This EC120 will be a personal aircraft for the Wolfes, and they chose a very distinctive paint scheme.   Their EC120 has been completed with a Nebraska Cornhuskers paint scheme, something that they thought long and hard about. “When we decided to buy a helicopter, I wanted a unique paint scheme,” explains Mr. Wolfe. “We are Cornhuskers fans. They are the closest thing we have to a professional sports team and it just made sense. American Eurocopter did a great job with the paint scheme and our helicopter looks amazing.” Mr. Wolfe did have to get approval from the University of Nebraska to use their logo, and he says he is excited to get back to his home state and fly his new aircraft.

As the owners of Midwest Medical Transport Company, Mr. and Mrs. Wolfe have grown their company to become Nebraska’s largest EMS provider. This helicopter will allow them much quicker travel times for their personal trips as well as their trips to the eight different Midwest Medical Transport Company locations across Nebraska. The company is scheduled to take delivery of an EC135 in late 2009, which will serve the Great Plains Regional Hospital in North Platte, Nebraska and expand the offerings and services of the company’s fleet.

The EC120 is powered by one Turbomeca ARRIUS 2F engine and the aircraft is known for its low fuel consumption. The aircraft’s maneuverability and low pilot workload have made it the choice for civilian and parapublic missions across the United States. The EC120 features modern technologies, such as the Vehicle and Engine Multifunction Display (VEMD), and the new generation Fenestron® tail rotor, which provides one of the most environmentally conscious sound signatures among civil turbine helicopters.

For now, the Wolfes are content with their EC120. "I love the Fenestron and the way the EC120 looks so modern. It is perfect for a private helicopter and you have to love the paint scheme,” says Mr. Wolfe.
