Steenokkerzeel, 02 October 2007 - Sabena Flight Academy’s (SFA) acquired B737-700/800 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) from Sim-Industries was granted a JARSTD1A Level D certificate by the Belgian Civil Aviation Authorities. “With the arrival of the B737-NG in Sabena Flight Academy’s Full Flight Simulator family, we also welcome our first Indian customer in Brussels besides our existing 70 mainly European & African based customers” said Jacques Waldeyer, Chairman & CEO of Sabena Flight Academy. This brings the total number of FFS up to six (6) and offers a whole spectrum of training possibilities. SFA shall considerably reinforce its market position in the commercial aviation training. The academy offers already training possibilities on Airbus A319/320 and 321, Airbus A330/340, Boeing B737-200, B737-300/400/500 and also on AVRO RJ85/100.
The second built B737-700/800 simulator manufactured by the Dutch simulator manufacturer Sim-Industries is equipped with a 14 ton electrical motion system, EP1000 image generator supplied by Rockwell Collins and SEoS projectors (200° x 40°). This State of the Art new “D Level FFS” will be equipped with the new Motion Method Lm2, providing the most realistic zero flight training device available on the market.
