Sabena Airline Training Center (SATC), a fully owned daughter company of the Belgian Sabena Flight Academy (SFA) has recently moved its operations in Arizona, USA from Scottsdale to Mesa. There are multiple reasons why rapidly expending SATC left its Arizona base where it has been running flight training activities for more than 16 years. The new base, Falcon Field airport, with 2 runways, allows increasing the number of flights per day from 100 to 170 per day, 360 days a year.
Falcon Field’s brand new, tailor made infrastructure enables SATC to train in perfect conditions, using the latest available flight training technology and the most modern aircraft fleet.
A mixed fleet of 17 state-of-the-art new Diamond aircraft, 21 Pipers (Archer, Arrows & Seneca) and Cessna aircraft enables us to give high quality training on a worldwide scale and has attracted many European and Asian airlines to choose SATC as their pilot training partner.
In 2006 more than 260 students from all over the world enjoyed flight training at SATC, in 2007 this number will increase till at least 310.
On April 5th 2007, we officially opened the new facilities, together with our loyal customers and the international press.
Representatives from Indian Airlines as Kingfisher airlines, Jet Airways, Indigo and Spicejet; European Airlines such as KLM, Jetairfly, Air Malta, Luxair; everybody who helped us to make SATC the biggest European Training Center in the USA joins us for this celebration.
