MONTREAL, Nov. 7 /CNW Telbec/ - (NYSE: CGT; TSX: CAE) - The Government of Canada notified CAE that its response to the Government’s Statement of Interest and Qualification (SOIQ) for an Operational Training Systems Provider (OTSP) has been deemed compliant. The OTSP is in support of the C-130J and CH-47 aircraft procurements announced earlier this year by the Government of Canada. CAE, which leads a team of Canadian companies pursuing this program, was advised that it was the only bidder deemed compliant by the Government of Canada.

    
Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) will release to CAE a request for proposal to acquire equipment and aircrew training services over 20 years for Canada’s future tactical airlift aircraft and helicopter fleets. The Government of Canada is currently in the process of acquiring a fleet of 17 C-130J tactical airlift aircraft and is expected to acquire CH-47 Chinook helicopters in the future.
