NBAA, Atlanta, GA, Sept. 24 /CNW Telbec/ - (NYSE: CGT; TSX: CAE) - CAE has launched an expansion of its global training network by adding 16 new business jet training programs to its operations. With this expansion, CAE will offer training on 90 percent of all business aviation platforms. The new training programs address the six largest business jet aircraft manufacturers: Bombardier, Cessna, Dassault Falcon, Embraer, Gulfstream and Hawker Beechcraft. The training programs will be located in the United States and in a range of global locations. The new programs will enter service within the next two years.
"We are excited about this major new initiative and are proud to be able to broaden our services offering to address even more of our clients’ needs," said Jeff Roberts, CAE’s Group President, Innovation and Civil Training & Services. "By expanding our business aviation training footprint to address more aircraft around the globe, we are offering more choices to our customers and bringing our training services closer to more corporate operators than ever before."
In addition, CAE announced that its Gulfstream 550 full-flight simulator located at Emirates-CAE Flight Training in Dubai has been certified Ready for Training; also that its Sikorsky S-76B simulator located at CAE SimuFlite’s North East Training Centre has received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Level D qualification - the highest qualification for flight simulators.
CAE’s product portfolio for the new training programs includes full-flight simulators (FFSs), as well as the CAE Simfinity(R) product suite consisting of two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) training devices. CAE Simfinity offers the same true-fidelity Level D simulation technology used in full-flight simulators end-to-end along the entire training continuum: from CAE courseware and tools like procedure trainers and brief/debrief flight simulator stations used in instructor-led sessions to those designed for on-line computer-based training. CAE’s Simfinity(R) makes the learning experience real and absolutely seamless, improving training efficiency and effectiveness while reducing risk and cost.
