The Real Cockpit project originated in 1999. Curt Roth Sr. experienced that VFR flight was often hampered by weather conditions. Out of curiosity he started an investigation into the number of employable flight hours at RotterdamAirport, using as its guideline the conditions set by the flight school for the use of aeroplanes by novice pilots.
