Skycooler announces signing launch airline customer

Skycooler, the cool container leasing company, confirms it has signed its first long-term leasing contract with British Airways. Skycooler’s Sales Director Graham Walters says, “We are absolutely delighted to have achieved our first lease contract with a major airline, for our RAP SKYcooler temperature controlled containers.”  He added, “Having British Airways on-board confirms our goal to provide cost effective leasing solutions for the perishables airfreight marketplace”.  British Airways & Skycooler worked closely together to ensure that the certified SKYcooler units fulfilled the operational requirements for the air transportation of temperature sensitive cargo.

Steve Collins - Support Services Manager at British Airways says “ We awarded this contract to Skycooler based on the cost savings offered by the fixed lease contract price but also the higher technical specification, which includes built-in downloadable temperature data logging”
