From a cool glass of locally brewed ale paired with a wedge of Oregon blue cheese to a slice of chocolate hazelnut cake and all the possibilities in between, travelers at Portland International Airport (PDX) will soon have new options for dining. The Port of Portland Commission today approved leases that will expand and enhance concessions in the airport’s Oregon Market food court and on concourses A, D and E. The new food concessions are Pizzicato Gourmet Pizza, Laurelwood Public House and Brewery, Rose’s Deli and Bakery, Rogue Ales Public House, and Beaverton Bakery Cafe.
The new food and beverage options are among new or expanded concessions coming to 25 locations in the airport over the next 18 months. Other concessions include Baskin Robbins, Big Town Hero, Brookstone, Coffee People, Good Dog / Bad Dog, InMotion Pictures, Jamba Juice, Sandoval’s Fresh Mexican Grill, Starbucks Coffee, Wendy’s, and Your Northwest Travel Mart.
“We are proud of our award-winning food and beverage concessions program at PDX, and these additions deliver yet another level of excellent choices to our customers,” said Chris Madsen, Port general manager of PDX business & properties.
Three leases with Creative Host Services, Inc., will bring Pizzicato Gourmet Pizza to the Oregon Market food court and Laurelwood Public House and Brewery to two airport locations, one on Concourse A and one on Concourse E. Pizzicato is a local premier pizza restaurant with several existing locations in the Portland area. Laurelwood is a popular family-style brew pub with locations in northeast and northwest Portland.
Host International, Inc., was awarded two leases—one for Rogue Ales Public House and one for Rose’s Deli and Bakery, both on Concourse D. Rogue Ales, founded in Newport, distributes award-winning brews worldwide and serves unique food items. Rose’s has Portland roots going back more than 50 years and features authentic New York-style deli fare.
A lease with Hudson-Burch Portland, JV, brings the Beaverton Bakery Cafe to the Oregon Market food court. The Beaverton Bakery has been operating for 80 years in Beaverton. The cafe offers a wide array of gourmet coffees, teas and lattes, along with a variety of quality baked goods and sandwiches.
