April 1 marks the start of a new travel era as the Swiss TravelClub becomes Miles & More, the new SWISS frequent flyer programme. The large majority of Swiss TravelClub members have already signed up to transfer to Miles & More, which is Europe’s leading frequent flyer programme.

The full assimilation of SWISS’s Swiss TravelClub frequent flyer programme into Miles & More on April 1 concludes the ever-closer collaboration that has developed between the two programmes since last summer. Within Miles & More, SWISS customers can earn and redeem frequent flyer miles on all Star Alliance carriers, and also enjoy a wide range of further privileges and benefits. Swiss TravelClub members transferring to Miles & More will have their remaining Swiss TravelClub miles converted one-for-one into Miles & More award miles; and existing Swiss TravelClub Silver and Gold statuses are also recognised in the Miles & More programme.
 
SWISS will represent Miles & More in Switzerland, and will be responsible for assisting and advising all Swiss-based members and partners.
 
Swiss TravelClub members were first approached about the new programme in October 2005, when they were invited to join Miles & More and have their Swiss TravelClub mileage balance transferred to their new Miles & More account. The large majority of Swiss TravelClub members have opted to do so. These members will thus have their remaining Swiss TravelClub miles on March 31, 2006 credited to their Miles & More account in the first week of April. Swiss TravelClub members will also retain whatever Swiss TravelClub status they held on December 31, 2005 in the Miles & More programme from April 1 onwards.
 
The new Miles & More cards with their new membership numbers were sent to members in Switzerland and around the world in March. For those Swiss TravelClub members who have not yet registered for Miles & More, a special registration form has been provided on the new www.miles-and-more.ch website that will still allow them to do so - and transfer their Swiss TravelClub mileage balance - after April 1.
